Bosnian Rainbows’ debut album is an album heavy with the weight of expectations thanks, in part, to the destructive aftermath of its creation but, also, because of the experience of the talent behind its roster.
Bosnian Rainbows began as a collaborative effort early last summer between artist Omar Rodriguez Lopez (The Mars Volta/At The Drive-In), singer Teresa Suarez (a.k.a. Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes), drummer/keyboardist Deantoni Parks (The Mars Volta/Dark Angels), and keyboardist/bassist Nicci Kasper (Dark Angels). Lopez had worked with each member before in various capacities and the four decided to work together in a four-way partnership as Bosnian Rainbows. The collaboration is directly in contrast to his two-man reign over The Mars Volta with longtime artistic partner Cedric Bixler Zavala. Lopez wrote all the music for TMV while Zavala wrote all the lyrics, both with no input from any other members of the live group.

Hahaha, you can see me standing downstairs right above Tita’s head! And yes it was a great event (despite my day-long hangover)!
